The Smoothie That Keeps Me Sane and Not Snacking by 10 A.M

Starting my morning with something cold and refreshing is one of those small rituals that just makes everything feel a little more manageable. I’ll usually pour a glass of water—because let’s be honest, nothing hydrates quite like it after a night of dry mouth and deep sleep.

But once I’m feeling recharged, I always have a taste for something fruity and fresh—either with breakfast or, most days, in place of it. Here’s the thing: not all smoothies are created equal. The fruit-and-juice kind might taste amazing, but that sugar crash? Not it. After way too many mornings of being hangry an hour later, I finally landed on a go-to blend that’s quick, actually satisfying, and keeps my levels steady (no crash, no cravings). The 7 ingredients makes all the difference with my energy and mood. and it’s officially part of my morning rotation.


Balanced Babe Smoothie

½ ripe avocado

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

3-4 Brazil nuts (soaked 4-6 hours, chopped)

¼ cup frozen blueberries

¼ cup frozen blackberries

¼ cup frozen strawberries


Sip-Ready Steps

Soak Brazil nuts in water for 4–6 hours & chop.

Toss everything into a blender.

Blend until creamy smooth.

Add a splash more milk if you like it thinner.


Extra Add-Ins (Flavor Boost)

½ tsp vanilla extract
(adds a subtle dessert-like vibe)

Cinnamon
(balances blood sugar/gives warm flavor)

Fresh mint leaves
(adds freshness and pairs so well with berries)

Unsweetened cocoa powder
(1 tsp) for a chocolate-berry moment)

1 scoop unflavored or vanilla protein powder
(keeps you fuller much longer)

1 tablespoon flaxseeds
(great for fiber, omega-3s, and hormone balance)

½ cup frozen cauliflower rice
(sounds weird, but you won’t taste it and it makes it thicker and more nutrient-dense)

splash of lemon juice
(brightens the flavor and supports digestion plus makes the body alkaline)
